Going by the original price of the lens relative to the more expensive Olympus
zooms, it is
presumably a 'consumer' S-lens. But it is obviously a very good lens from the
comments of list
members...

I understood that the "S" Zuiko designation meant a sort of low consumer
grade lens. It appears that the 35-70 so beloved for its size is in this
category. I don't have one, but I was wondering if I was right. Is that
what the S is for?
