No... the S designation was ostensibly for 'Standard', there was W for
'wide', T for 'telephoto', etc.
Only the 35-70 3.5/4.8 lens is a 'ringer' (Cosina) in this range.

I understood that the "S" Zuiko designation meant a sort of low consumer
grade lens. It appears that the 35-70 so beloved for its size is in this
category. I don't have one, but I was wondering if I was right. Is that
what the S is for?
