Mike, It looks like this is a golden oppurtunity to get your SO interested in
your hobby/passion/etc. I would start out with a couple of books about
photography, like Kodak's, etc., then see if an interest on her part
develops. The advantage to this is that she will come to understand why you
had to buy yet another lens..."you've already got a lens for your camera, why
do you need another?"....I would also take a "hands off" approach to
this....if she wants N*k*n, then let her have it...the main thing is that she
would share your enthusasim for photography....
