Only one, huh?
My favorite lens is probably the 100/2. Portraits, scenics, even on tubes
doing macro, it's wonderful, but I'm not usre I coudl live with it as my only
lens...
Zooms are too slow. Even the 35-80/2.8 would be too slow for me as an only
lens (not that I can afford one, so the point is moot).
A fast 50 is probably a better compromise. Are we limited to lenses we have
experience with? If so I'll pick my 50/1.4 MC. Otherwise the 50/2 Macro -
still fast, and more flexible than the non-macro 50's (and sharper, too,
according to Gary's tests). I may even be able to afford one of those
eventually.
