Astonishing to see how many people have come to the same kind of
solution of one problem, but how they all do it a little differently.
I too... I use Velcro tape (one side adhesive) to attach two rear caps
to each other. Nice but unintended side-effect: the caps with the
right part of the Velcro will also adhere to the interior of my photo
bag. And the Velcro can always be removed later, without any damage to
the cap.
BTW, my Olympus rear caps often get a bit loose, tending to come off
too easily and leave the lens' rear glass unprotected - which means
they are worthless. This happens in particular when they get older and
a bit worn on the inside.
In those case I apply a _very_ thin layer of epoxy to the whole inner
wall of the cap (not the bottom), let dry thoroughly (!), and it will
fit tightly for the next few years to come.
I used to use bits of tape for this, but things got messy that way.
