Had the opportunity to see/hear Art Wolfe at a local bookstore/cafe last
night. Had a slide show and talk about his newest book "The Living Wild".
Guess he showed some 160 slides, this particular project took approximately
3 1/2 to 4 years, he circled the globe 4 times, and shot (his estimate)
7,000 rolls of film through his various C*non auto drip/dry cameras. Some
spectacular stuff in this latest work. His intent was to show the wildlife
in and including it's habitat. Lots of 17mm and 20mm stuff. Nothing like a
shot of 5 roughly 7' long cayman taken from about 24" from their snouts. If
you have the chance to peruse or even purchase the book, I would recommend
it.
No true OM content here, just remarkable photographic content.
