Yes, that is correct.

Perhaps nothing that subjective testing can detect. I have yet to SQF
test a MCv2 using mirror and diaphragm prefire, so I can't really make a
guess at this point. See:

Some Sigma and Tamron Adaptall 2 rear caps are deep. A deep Olympus cap
would be one that was designed for the 80mm f/4 Macro aand the 135mm
f/4.5 Macro.
