Actually, we stayed one night at McDonald Provincial Park and took the
ferry from Schwartz Bay back to the mainland. But, didn't notice any
eagles during our short time in your neck of the woods. Just a very bold
crow munching on tossed sandwiches at the ferry terminal. Never went
(or been) to Thetis, though.
Next time we come that way, we'll have to plan on spending more time
around Sidney (nice country, btw) and hunt more extensively for them.
