I've searched the archives before asking this question, so...
The Zuiko 35/2.8 shift lens appears to use two methods to retain the forward
portion of the lens in the shifted position:
1. Felt or similar material to prevent creep when camera/lens is oriented
horizontally;
2. Shims to prevent creep when camera/lens is vertically oriented.
I couldn't find enough specific information in the archives to determine
which wears or needs adjustment soonest. I would have guessed the felt
material would wear quickest while the approximately U-shaped shims would
last quite a while without loosening becoming evident.
However I might be misunderstanding how the mechanisms operate.
Can anyone offer additional information on this particular lens design?
