Dunno what it is but some of the worst curmudgeons I've met worked at camera
shops. It may have something to do with that psychology of having settled
for something less. Y'know, "I coulda been a great:
photographer/musician/newspaperman but I ended up working at this camera
shop/music shop/newspaper."
