Agreed. Nice photos!
This is a fairly interesting example of the interrelation of flare and
bokeh. The blobby light balls in the unfocused background show some
relationship to the more distinct diaphragm reflections caused by flare.
I don't find it unattractive. I had a lot of blobby-ball bokeh in my
ADITL2 photo:

I suspect that's just the nature of the bokeh of a 50mm lens, and if you
don't care for it, you'd better use a tele instead.
