Excellent tip, Sunil! Thanks much. While it doesn't work on my Canon FD
lenses (the bayonet lens hood mount interferes) it works fine on my other
lenses and should work well with most Zuikos.
True genious is in finding the simplest solutions.

Ref. COKIN series 'A' & 'P' Filter Holders.
Dear OLYMPUS friends,
with ref. to the recent discussion of using COKIN Series 'A' & 'P' Filter
holders and Filters with wide-angle zuiko lenses.
The advise given by one of the readers was to cut the 'filter-holding arms
and then use the filter in the holder such that the arm does not intrude
into the lens view.
Let us begin by analysining the COKIN FILTER HOLDER.
The FIRST pocket is for the 'metal thread adapter'.
The second is for the Filter Cap.
The third, fourth and fifth pocket/arms are for the FITLERS.
Now if you normally assemble the COKIN as advised the arms will INTERFERE in
lenses as wide as 24mm/84* wide lenses.
Solution is to hold the 'metal thread adapter' in the fourth pocket/arm,
thread the lens through the COKIN FILTER HOLDER and slide the FILTER
REQUIRED in the fifth and final pocket.
Result 'NO INTERFERENCE' in the angle of view.
I have found this successful with both A & P series COKIN HOLDERS.
Try this method, it is much simpler than major surgery of the COKIN HOLDER.
Regards. Sunil Manga.
