I agree with your approach. It seems that it is easy to get lost in the techincal possibilites of an elaborate OM system rather than the end result, ie. good if not great photograhs. Take an OM 1 and a 35mm or 50mm lens and explore all of the possibilities, you will be amazed at what will result.
