First, let me preface this by saying that I really like 1/2 frame
cameras. BUT......
I believe that with all the features noted in the picture, it's MUCH TOO
GOOD to be true.
a. Inter-changable lenses? I doubt it with a viewfinder camera. This isn't
a Contax G2.
b. Liquid Crystal Film Mask, Shutter, and Aperture? I also doubt it. No
mainstream camera has ever had this technology, and it doesn't seem
feasible to introduce it onto a dead format like 1/2 frame.
c. Waterproof construction? not with inter-changable lenses.
Oh, well. We can at least hope. But with APS out and offering all the
features that it does, I'd be very surprised to see any mainstream maker
make a 1/2 frame camera. What's the REAL advantage? Not film
economy. The public really doesn't care about that. Many of them keep
film in their cameras for months on end with a 24 exp. roll. How long
would it take for them to go through a 48 or 72 exp roll? A year??
Ahhhhh, more dreams of what could be from Olympus, but WILL NEVER BE.

Down below, I've written some updates that you might be interested in.
Most of this information has to do with Jaap's Wide Angle page, but near
the end there are some updates on the Enschede Disaster report page and on
TOPE as well:
1-John Foster, the author of the recently released book about the Pens has
mailed a picture to Jaap of what supposedly is a new Pen camera!!! I'm not
certain whether this is for real or a hoax, as descriptions like "Liquid
Cristal Apature" sound fishy, at least (note the amount of linguistic
errors, not to mention the questionable technical feautures (what _is_ an
LC Aperture ?!?!?!?!)). Whether it is for real, or perhaps a practical
joke, I have put the picture up on my web page so the people interested in
this could take a look (and perhaps confirm/deny whether the thing will be
(or already is) for real, or not). The picture can be found here:

Also, I have asked for John's e-mail address so I can inform you guys on
how to obtain John's Pen book (a Pen FT book is apparently in the makings too).
