Evan,
The Olympus adapter for the 3700, 4600 is DM/O. If you're looking at a 5600
(don't get the 5200, no swivel), the adapter is PM/O.
You can also get a DC-1 for the 3700,4600 combination that will allow you to
extend the flash ~1.5-2 feet from the camera and the DC-3 for the 5600.
These cord sets are similar in function to the T20 Auto Connector with a
T-series cord.
So, get the least expensive, best condition flash you can and then acquire
a DM/O or PM/O. I might be able to get one from Columbus Camera. I'm
pretty sure they had one of each a month or so ago, and Midwest Photo had a
DC-1.

<< What OM body do you have Om-1, 2, 4 ???
It would make a difference in what type of body you have as far as the
flash
TTL or non-TTL). >>
I'm shooting with an OM-2n. One more thing...there are lots of listings on
eBay for "vivitar 3700 (et al) for Canon AE-1, etc. Does this matter? Will
these still work with any TTL metering camera?
