Hmmm, I think I can one-up you on this. I have a nice champagne OM-4t that
took a full swim in nice, salty, Penobscot Bay water last year. I was
crushed, and sure it was doomed, but after immediately removing the battery
and swirling it about in a pail of fresh water, I carefully placed it on the
still warm auxiliary diesel of the boat we were using, where it sat
overnight. Unbelievably, it still works fine - shutter speeds still on
target too. I keep waiting for the day when it will finally kick over, and
that day may still come.....
