Hi,
According to it, the _original_ hoods for the two are different, but are
also interchangeable (28/3.5 was screw-on metal and 28/2.8 is screw-on
rubber). This makes sense; they should be with the same 49mm ring and
angle of view.
John, you are absolutely correct. I have 2 of the metal hoods marked 3.5/28,
and I have one rubber hood marked "2.8/28 3.5/28". The latter one must be
the more recent one of the two. Both of them are screw in types.
To complete(?) the picture, I also have an old metal clamp on type marked
"1.4/50 1.8/50 3.5/28", I wonder if this one causes vignetting. On more
recent versions of this hood (i.e. the rubber version), the indications have
changed to "1.4/50 1.8/50 3.5-4.5/35-70" (or something of that effect)...
Cheers!
Olafo
