Lee Hawkins has a lens hood cross reference on his site that is pretty nifty:

According to it, the _original_ hoods for the two are different, but are
also interchangeable (28/3.5 was screw-on metal and 28/2.8 is screw-on
rubber). This makes sense; they should be with the same 49mm ring and
angle of view.
