If you shoot print film, half black frames indicate NO exposure, like flash
sync at the wrong speed. Oldest OM-10s which have the manual adapter
mounted, allow the manual adapter setting to override the "auto flash"
shutter speed, if the MA is set above 1/60, (as I recall).
Otherwise, your shutter is not opening properly at high speeds, causing
partial exposures.
