The Yen is typically around 100 to the dollar. That makes the camera
about 5,000$. Expect dealer markup of course. I think Nikon is waiting
to see how popular the new camera is before introducing a "real user"
version at a more normal price.

Dirk Wright
A photo dealer recently introduced me to the Hexar RF from Konica and
suggested that I might be interested. It had more than an uncanny likeness
to the Leica M6, was priced slightly less, and acccepted all M lenses.
Perhaps RF cameras are making a come back. After all I was told in the mid
1960s that my single stroke M3 was likely to go the same way as the horse
and buggy in not too many years! Right now it makes images right up there
with my 4T !
