Despite all the fears and disparaging attitudes some have regarding Ebay, you
can obtain some wonderful merchandise at very reasonable prices IF you are an
educated consumer ( i sound like a SIMMS ad) and if you use judgement and
take the time to really learn the system. I have participated in a little
over 150 auctions and have never been "cheated"...the one time i thought I
had been taken (a fake Hillfigger watch...I knew it was contraband so i guess
i felt I deserved it) the guy actually followed up and made it "right".
Other than a couple of slowpokes with attitude, I have been very pleased,
BUT, I am careful to check on feedback and educate myself first about what
I'm buying as much as possible. I got my OM-PC on Ebay WITH a Zuiko 35-70
3.5-4.5 zoom for $75 last year. In my eyes, I got the body for free! That's
why i said I got it for a bargain. I don't want it back necessarily..(too
many bodies, so little time), but it certainly is a nice feeling and looking
camera. And it's been a wonderful way to indoctrinate my brother into the
world of Ommmmmmmmmm......
