I've received a Zuiko 8mm lens from Kamera Express of the Netherlands. They
rated it 9.5 out of 10.

It is certainly an impressive lens. It has a full 180o as advertised. Chromatic
aberration is minimal. My primary intended usage is all-sky views of the night
sky.

I have the following questions:
1. I see many white flecks behind the front element. H
ow do they come about and what implications do they have for the lens?
2. When I look directly through the rear of the lens, I see unevenness/dust on
all of the internal filters, when I turn the wheel back and forth. These
variations don't seem to show up on the focus screen. Do I need to be concerned
about this?
3. For what would these filters (L39/UV, Y48, O56, R60) typically be used?
4. Can you suggest tests I could perform to evaluate its condition?
Thanks to Frank van Lindert for alerting me to the fact that Kamera Express had
this lens.
Matt
