It requires a top plate removal to tighten, since they tighten from
inside. It is important to do so, since if the screws drop they can
short the circuit board. The job is a bit tricky due to the the wires
leading to the hot shoe and the "no room to spare" conditions under the
top plate. I bought an OM-4 supposedly owned by a camera repairman (no
one on THIS list) and one of the hot shoe wires wasn't attached. It
suggested that an inexperienced repair was performed.
