YES! They worked! That is specifcally their purpose. Beats adding more
fiber to your diet.
I'm going to have to fry some hamburgers tonight. This talk has gotten me
hungry for some grease.
An old McDonalds employee trick: The closing shift usually will soak
several gallons of reconstitued onions for the next morning. But you are
supposed to use cold water. If you use hot water an enzyme is released
that turns them pink. Nothing worse than a hungover burgerflipper opening
up a canister of onions in the morning to see them some puky shade of red.
The other great trick involves the eggs. Eggs were setout on top of the
vent to come to room temperature by 6:00am. The breakfast crew can crack
open four eggs at a time without breaking a yolk--Unless... Unless a
sneaky night shift person happens to randomly substitute hard boiled eggs
among the trays of eggs.
The morning shift used to love me.
