Oh indeed it does, but with the bizarre (to my mind) twist that it will
only fire the flash if there's a good battery fitted. I suspect the
x-sync contacts are debounced with a transistor or Schmitt trigger or
something. At least, that's how one of mine behaved at a
bonfire/fireworks display last November - I haven't checked that my
other body does the same.
Come to think of it, I haven't asked the list if this is what *should*
happen so I guess this would be a good time to clear this one up.
Should a -2S(P) trigger & sync on mechanical 1/60 with no battery
present?
