[OM] EBay "Bid shielding scam" OT ??

Hello All,
        At the risk of being too far off topic.  I was scanning the
rec.photo.equipment.35mm Newsgroup And found a thread "Bid shielding
scam"  I will not quote any of here to save bandwidth.  Just another
thing to be aware of if you choose to use eBAy in your Zuikoholism.  It
might explain some of the bizarre prices that have been noted here
recently.
