Sure, barrel and pincushion distortion become more visually pronounced
the further a straight line is from the center of the frame. However,
my distortion determinations reflect the rendering of the map's top
frame line, in relation to the plastic mask (which is always straight)
at the top of the slide.
So, one would have to place the horizon in the center of all 35mm shots
with the 35-80mm Zuiko in order for it to come out straight. Not too
desirable an option.
