I think they were pretty much all supercharged, whether Allison or R-R.
Acer, if you are in search of .wav files, you may want to search on Reno and
air races. That'll turn up something. Sounded good on the computer, it
would be awesome on a good (or at least loud) stereo--but not as good as *in
person* :-)
Also, as to the races, I thought the unlimited's were pretty much "race what
ya brung", as long as turbines weren't "brung." Not that I'll be competing
in that field anytime soon!

P.S. You HAVE checked out Chino, right? Also Flabob Airport in Riverside,
if it's still operational, should have some interesting stuff--it was a real
hotbed of homebuilding/hotrodding and may still be.
