Since the conversation has died down from my first big question (I sure
learned an amazing amount), I thought I'd ask a couple more.
My daughters are about to start soccer (football for the rest of you).
They've never played, which means I've never shot it. I have almost
unrelated questions:
1) What film would most people recommend (color, don't flame me). Normally
I would expect clear bright skys but want to stop the action.
2) Lens choice: My thinking is my Vivitar Series 1 70-210 one-touch. Seem
reasonable?
3) Since they are on different teams, they'll watch each other. Seemed like
a perfect time to introduce them to Zuikoholism (did I spell that right).
You'll see I offered to buy the 135, and here's my reasoning. They're small
(6&7), so a big long lense that requires control didn't seem to make sense.
An expensive lense REALLY didn't make sense. So, my plan is to put the 135
on an OM-G body and set a pretty big aperature to get a fast shutter speed.
Let them shoot away (no winder, I can't afford the film....) Does this seem
reasonable? I realize its a little short (135), but I can't see them
holding a 200 steady or understanding a zoom yet.
Any thoughts/comments?
Thanks,
Tom
