The 35-80/2.8 closest focus is about 2 feet. The 90/2 gets down to 1.3
feet, which is 1:2 So, the 35-80 at 80mm and 2ft distance would be appx
1:5 or so. I guess that's fairly good for a zoom. I wouldn't expect to
get 90/2 performance out of it. Gary's #s at 4 ft and 1:40 look great.
But if you want a macro lens, get to 50 or 90 F/2
