The Rollei 35's with lens collapsed are about the same size as the XA
series. Since they are now collector's items with a small cult following,
their price is high compared to others of their age. If that is too small,
then a little larger and quite good are the couple of Oly rangefinders (RC
and RD) and the Canon QL-17 already mentioned. The QL-17's in particular
are relatively low priced on the used market for some reason; in the
ballpark of a used XA.
Among current small rangefinders that have gotten are the Contax T2 (if you
have $$$$) and Yashica T4 (if you only have $). Both of these have
consistently received good comments from users who also have extensive 35mm
and MF SLR systems.
