The vignetting could be a little disconcerting, but at F8/F11 (where I
typically shoot) is it apparent? I would really like a "pocket" camera
that I can always have with me and the newer AF cameras don't quite excite
me--they are so incredibly battery dependent, the lenses are mushy, the AF
usually is zone vs continous and now there is a huge delay between
shutter-release and actual exposure. (as much as five seconds on the
Canons). Manual overrides? Hah!
As far as other rangefinders are concerned: The whole idea is to have a
pocket camera and the XA is nearly perfect as far as form-factor is
concerned. Otherwise I really do not care for rangefinder cameras as my
preference is SLR.
