You should throw in the never-ready meter as well. There you are with the
bugger on tripod and trying to change a shutter speed with the left hand
while holding down shutter button partway with the right to get a reading.
Not so hot.
I've solved this problem partially by using a cable release. That at least
allows one to work the meter-on part of the shutter button "remotely" with
the right hand. Much more convenient. I do otherwise like the little
beastie, particularly with its self-timer and on these cold mornings.
