Wouldn't it make more sense to test your new camera with something fussy
like velvia? The films you mention (I assume you're talking XP2 or
T400CN?) have such a wide latitude that your meter could be way off and
you would still get decent prints. Don't forget to test through the
whole range of shutter speeds too. I got an OM1 for my partner which
didn't get used at fast speeds (1/500 or 1/1000) until the warranty had
expired - then I found that half the frame was underexposed at those
speeds. Luckily my friendly rep ignored the store policy and had it
fixed free anyway.
