[OM] Olympus XA rangefinder fix?

My XA is playing tricks on me. Using the coupled rangefinder info results in
incorrect distance setting. Doesn't fit with distance scale and gives blurred 
pictures.
Does anyone know if this is something you can adjust/fix yourself? If so, how?
I am reasonably handy, have tools, but haven't opened it up so far.

Grateful for advice.
