Personally, I'd just throw the Zip Drives away and buy a CD recorder. IMHO,
a Zip drive is one of the flakiest peripherals you can hook up to your
computer. I'd never put anything I care about (especially scanned Olympus
photos!) on a Zip disc.
Zip discs cost about $10 each, CDR discs about $1 each, and hold over six
times as much. At that rate, it won't take long at all before the CDR pays
for itself. Like, about the time it takes to fill two discs.
