I think the 2-13 is great with slow glass. With fast glass on a bright day
the matte area is really overpowered. I've also noticed that one of my
OM-2s's is different from the other it terms of being able to use the matte
portion of the 2-13! The split image works OK but the matte just sort of
fades out from the edges. I put a 1-13 back in it and I'm happier with it
that way. Otherwise the 2-13 has been great. Weird, eh?

I've purchased mine through John H. for about $40, and I think B&H is about
the same. The Beatties are up around $70. Perhaps that's what you had in
mind.
