and another question: who has had GOOD luck with their OM in cold weather,
and what body is it???? because i have had such bad luck, i consider
getting rid of it all sometimes...........

I think you are blaming too much on the camera. ANY camera will lose
battery function at very low temperatures, including the latest
wunderbricks like EOS1 or F5. That's why everyone, including Olympus, sells
remote battery adaptors that allow you to wear the battery close to your body.
Or, you could use an OM1 or OM3, which rely on batteries only for the meter.
