I've had good luck with plastic weld type cements like Ambroid ProWeld and
Tenax 7R. These are not like Crazy glue, they actually melt the plastic and
fuse. They are very thin viscosity liquids, you simply press the crack
together, apply a drop of the Tenax for example. Capillary action sucks the
cement into the crack. Hold it together for a few minutes until it sets up.
The joint will be quite strong, close to original strength if all went well.
I've repaired the corner cracks in several OM shoes, works great! Once fixed
I'm careful about not over tightening the shoe and I've not had one crack
again. You'll be left with a little spot where you placed the cement drop on
the outside corner but it doesn't look any worse than the crack!
You can find the Tenax 7R at hobby shops, the Ambroid ProWeld came from a
Hobby Lobby (forgive me, once you get over all the cheezy dried flowers and
tacky craft projects its not that bad). I think the Tenax may be a bit
superior to the Ambroid but they both work.
Good luck,
Carl
