Many years ago I entered a Nikon Photo Contest and a condition of entry was that the shots had to have been taken with Nikon equipment. I put some shots in taken with my Voigtlander Vito II, quoted the body and lens serial numbers from a friend's Nikon F and was sure that's why I didn't win a prize. They obviously analysed the transparencies and determined that they could not have been made with a Nikon lens !
