I beleive all the 3Ti does is give you all the shutter speeds and no meter
action if your battery dies. If you have a hand held meter no problem.
Good plan is to carry a backup battery (at least one new one or more) and a
camera used as a back up.
Once you know your camera and film speeds you can always use the reset on
the 4Ti and fire at 60th of a second(marked in red) with no battery , and
your camera (as emergency) will still fire ,set your flash to correspond to
the film speed your using if you need it for extra light , select aperature
to correspond to flash guide.
