A sign that your vision is improving, I would say. I have a lot of slides
from years ago that I now look at and think "Oh dear, to think I used to
consider that a good image". My success rate is static, but my number of
absolute failures and "why did I take that?" images is dropping. I take it
as a good thing. Mind you, a 'success rate' is a relative term since, as
someone else said, it depends on the parameters you use to assess the image.
I think I take fewer photos of duff subjects now, I am slowly learning to
weed out things from earlier mistakes. Unfortunately, it's too slow a process.
