Hi there people
I am new here and would like to say G'day to you all and ask a question
to kick off.
I have recently acquired an OM-4Ti which is exhibiting an intermittent
mirror lockup problem. I have checked the FAQ and only OM-2s seem to be
mentioned with this problem and the battery is quoted as the most common
culprit. I have swapped the alkalines first fitted with Energizer 357
silver oxides and no improvement. I cannot for the life of me get the
little beggar to form a pattern in it's behaviour. When it fires, it
usually keeps going, but it seems that if I let it sit for a good while,
there is a good chance of a lockup the next time I try it.
I have to set the shutter to the red 1/60th to release the mirror and
fire the shutter, all the while losing the shot, the frame and my
patience. I cannot use it at all now due to a lack of confidence and have
gone back to my manual Nikons.
Question: Is the OM-2 problem repeated in the OM-4T's or am I missing
something?
HELP?
Thanks
Col

Here's a general question - how do you season wood?
I use a combination of a worcestershire marinade and a blend of three
peppers.
