Interesting. Another way of saying we like the "look" of the images produced
by the better Zuiko lenses, I suppose, and I agree with this
characterization. To use an unrelated analogy, I would characterize the look
of Canon and Nikon's better lenses as being like a good solid state audio
amplifier versus the Leica and Olympus look being like a tube (valve)
amplifier. The solid state amp will usually produce a very crisp, accurate
sound - almost harsh. A good tube amp will produce a sound that may or may
not test out quite as precise as the solid state amp, but will often produce
a sound that is more, well, "musical" and pleasant to listen to.
