Do any photographers on the list use or own OM's and Hasselblad's. I have the
combination of the two and would like to offer
some observations.
Image quality: I have found that my OM lenses have a very non - Japanese look
when compared to Nikon's etc. The
resolution is excellent and the separation of tones is supurb, the "feel" of the
image is similar to a German lens. There is not a
huge difference between my two systems up to 10x8 when veiwed from a correct
distance. The quality of the images is quite
similar, though different because of pure negative size.
Ease of use: The OM sytem I have is much easier but for commercial jobs the
Hasselblad in most cases is my choice.
Reliability: Both are very similar. Very reliable.
My Choice?: I wouldn't give up either. I probably use the OM more lately for
people shots I have been doing in B&W.
Value for money: Now there is a point of discussion.
I would be interested to hear if others have a similar system.
