Isn't spot the fastest way to get a proper exposure? More than likely. But I use my 1n all the time - no battery drain. The 4Ti and 2SP both have flat batteries at the moment. So I just change my style to meter off my hand and open up a stop, or move the camera to look at a similar scene with the same reflectivity.
