I wonder if it would make any difference to use a motor drive instead.
When doing macro work, I regularly use an MD2 with the battery attached
via the relay cord. I then trigger the shutter using the button on the
battery pack. I find this more convient than using a cable release, but
I'm now wondering if I'm giving up some sharpness by doing so.
