Aye, young whippersnapper, heed the wise and sage advice from the classic VW
man. I have learned my poorest choices of equipment have been made not on
technical merit or critical analysis, but haste. There are always
opportunities for another OM-? body, lens or whatever in such and such
condition at favorable prices. However, even if the price is premium, take
the time to know your needs as George counsels. Spend the time to feel the
equipment in your hands. Does it fit naturally and comfortably. Does it
feel like an extension of your eye when you hold it at shooting position?
Does it feel like an extension of your mind as you operate the various
rings, buttons and dials? Will it meld with your photographic goals? These
are the marks of fine tools that can not be quantified on spec sheets. Does
the tool fit >you< and >your< style? Patience grasshopper <g>.
