I got a Father's day present early today. I found a T Power Control 1 for
the seemingly reasonable price of $125 at Woodmere on the net, so I
ordered it. So what if it had a SS# etched on the top, no big deal to me.
It came today in the mail and there was this thingy attached to the front
with a long cord and a round shape. It was engraved . . . . . T-10 Ring
Flash! The dealer must not have realized that the TPC1 and the T-10 are
separate items. So I got a B&H retail value of $209 (T-10) + $320 (TPC1) =
$529 for $125!! Maybe I'll have to visit this store in person. :-)).
Since my new T-8 came today in a separate box, I'm fully macro-equipped.
All I need now is a Telescoping Auto-Tube and the 80/4, 90/2, and 135/3.5 <gg>.
On a related topic, I've got a Vivitar Series 1 90/2.5 macro that I'm going
to use with the Ring Flashes, but they have a 55mm screw in ring. I
planned to get a step down 58-55 mm ring to adapt them. Any guesses on
whether it will vignette the image?
