Interesting, very interesting... This is more what I would have expected
from this set-up! :)))
It now seems that my previously suggested "poor man's super telephoto lens"
idea becomes viable again. For those of you who don't remember what I'm
talking about, I mean the following combo: Zuiko 135/2.8 + 2xA + B-300 ->
460/5.6+ (incl. diafragm, as opposed to the 500/8 mirror lens!) So, now all
I need is a B-300 TC :)))
To more fully explore some more of those interesting "poor man's solutions",
do you think you can do (some of) the following tests (using a 4Ti) too
someday?:
-Zuiko 135/2.8 + 2xA + B-300
-Zuiko 200/4 + 2xA
-Zuiko 200/4 + 2xA + B-300
-Zuiko 65-200/4 + B-300 (just use the 135-200 range to avoid excessive
vignetting)
-Zuiko 65-200/4 + Vivitar 2x TC
-Zuiko 65-200/4 + Vivitar 2x TC + B-300
-Zuiko 300/4.5 + Vivitar 2x TC (to see how it compares against the Oly TC)
-Zuiko 300/4.5 + 2xA (re-test with the OM-4)
-Zuiko 300/4.5 + 1.4xA (re-test with the OM-4)
-Zuiko 500/8 + 2xA
-Zuiko 500/8 + 1.4xA (if possible)

It seems like the OM-4 produces substantially better results (or is it the
Bogen support that accounts for the differences?), that's good to see :)))
Cheers!
